CHERRY RED’s October supplement includes the Kevin Coyne double A-side single ’So Strange’/’Father Dear Father’, featuring Police guitarist Andy Summers. Other singles include ’Compulsion’ by former Nightingales member Joe Crow, ’All About You’, by Thomas Leer and Veil Like Calm’ by Eyeless in Gaza while Gaza’s vocalist Martyn Bates makes his solo debut with the ten-inch album ’Letters Written’. Also on the LP front, ’Black Forest Gateau’ is by Neu, the seminal German band featuring ex-Kraftwerk members and The Marine Girls have just finished work on their first album, produced by Stuart Moxham (ex-Young Marble Giants), for release shortly. Finally, the 12-inch Ben Watt EP ’Summer Into Winter’ comprising five tracks and featuring Robert Wyatt is being reissued.
